Look closely and you'll see the front of a triangulated clip and a spot you can put a skinny screwdriver ( I used a steak knife tip, it was nearby, first thing available.:). There are 3 connections that hold this collar together. The plastic locks are where the drain and dishwasher tubes are. The pro333-11 I have has a plastic sound suppression collar around it. I couldn't just throw it away with out doing a post mortem. I'd replaced my unit by then so I had nothing to loose tearing apart the old one. That's completely understandable.Įarlier in the thread a guy said his wife removed 4 screws and remove be the bottom of the unit. I got to be honest- seems as the majority here are frustrated and don't provide fixes just exasperation.

The rep said this model was built in 2005. Serial number 05101659436Ĭalled the manufacturer 1-80. The seal that came out of mine was a CLS SSUL SC 0.75X1.375X0.25 The O-ring measured 5 9/16 ID (could be 5 1/2, guessing either would work) by 1/8.Ĭlean up all the parts, reassemble with some good sealer and you should be good to go if it was just the seal that was bad. The o-ring is on the outside (sealing edge) of the metal bottom piece. You should now be able to pry out the old seal. Be sure to note the order that things come out in. This will take a lot of slow prying because of the sealer. Next pry the metal bottom to the chopping chamber (the one that holds the bushings and seal) from the top piece. Undo the nut that hold the chopper blade in (an impact wrench make the job MUCH easier). Remove the 4 long screw-bolts that hold the motor together and separate the case.
This assumes that you have some experience with replacing seals etc. Before you start be sure you have the seal and o-ring (see Below). For anyone that wants to (or needs to) mess with it is possible to replace the seal.
